I'd like to suggest one called "Erunt". It makes backups of the entire registry that are easy enough to restore, even from another system (in case of bsod). This has saved me countless times, and it's free.

    ERUNT and NTREGOPT

You should be aware that it is not available everywhere yet. Not in the UK for instance and some parts of the USA can't get it yet.

Yep Kado mate I have only just this afternoon seen this come up and for what it is worth I have even tried to download it here so it might not be available here either.

Strange thing is you know is that I once refurbished a desktop for my brother down in Wiltshire and I installed the KISS out here not knowing that the UK has a different version or at least a version that only runs in the UK just as the Oz one wouldn't run over there.

Edit: Just for your info here is the official blog it shows the roll out Kaspersky Free antivirus launches globally to secure the whole world Kaspersky Lab official blog

Here are a few more high quality utilities that deserve a mention:

    CrystalDiskMark 6.0.1 - a disk benchmark software.

HashMyFiles 2.30 - my favorite utility to calculate the MD5 and SHA1 hashes of one or more files.

Iris micro 0.0.5 - my favorite blue light blocker. Simple and effective. Doesn't call home.

KatMouse 7 - incredibly useful productivity boosting tool. Moving the mouse wheel will scroll the window directly beneath the mouse cursor.

NTLite 1.6.3 Build 6373 - the best Windows installation media customization tool. The free version offers a lot of features and doesn't nag to upgrade.

RegConvert 1.2 - convert .reg data to .bat, .vbs, or .au3. It doesn't always deliver the results that you expect but I was unable to find anything better.

RegCool 1.082 - one of the best registry editors.

RegFromApp 1.33 - monitors the Registry changes made by the application that you selected, and creates a standard RegEdit registration file (.reg) that contains all the Registry changes made by the application. You can use the generated .reg file to import these changes with RegEdit when it's needed.

RegScanner 2.31 - the best way to scan the Registry and find the desired Registry values that match to the specified search criteria.

Shellbag Analyzer & Cleaner 1.25 - remove old Shellbag entries in Windows for privacy. Doesn't offer the best UI experience but I was unable to find anything better.

SoftPerfect RAM Disk 3.4.8 - the best ram disk utility.

SysExporter 1.76 - increase productivity, allows you to grab the data stored in standard list-views, tree-views, list boxes, combo boxes, text-boxes, and WebBrowser/HTML controls from almost any application running on your system, and export it to text, HTML or XML file.

TrueCrypt 7.1a - the only secure way to encrypt your files. Most probably they received a letter, and decided to shut down rather than comply.
    MD5: 7a23ac83a0856c352025a6f7c9cc1526
    SHA1: 7689d038c76bd1df695d295c026961e50e4a62ea

Windows Firewall Control 5.3.1.0 - one of the best ways to control the Windows firewall. The free version offers a lot of features and doesn't nag to upgrade.

XYplorer 17.30 - the best Windows Explorer replacement. The free version offers a lot of features.

TrueCrypt is no longer supported. Use VeraCrypt instead.

I have been using PureSync - windows software to synchronize, backup and compare files and folders with ease for a little over a month now and it works very well. It will backup and/or synchronize files and folders and you can exclude files and folders also (it's the only free one I found that will let you exclude files and folders.). It is free for personal use.

Hi Jerry. Long time no see.

I prefer FreeFileSync for that. https://freefilesync.org/ . You can exclude files & folders with this too. At one time I dropped my support for it because the installer dropped pups but that is no longer the case.
