    piriform defraggler

ok i know piriform makes good programs, and i read reviews online and people say that piriform defraggler>win7 defragger.

so i downloaded it and it showed my c: at 22% fragmented, i defragged it (took about 1.5 hours), when it finished it said it was 27% fragmented

    what the heck?

so i ran it one more time, and when it finished the second time, it was 30% fragmented....

    can someone please explain?

You may not have enough free space to defrag it. Whats the drive size and how much free space?

Try doing it this way, it's faster and actually works:

    Open Defraggler

    1. Click the Drive you want to Defrag:

    2. Click the File list tab.

Try running it as an Administrator. It usually give Number files were not defragged normally 99% of the time, it is normal but the defragment percent is probably not. When you click Analyze is there fewer results than from when you never defragged at all?

Also try an SFC Scan and then try defragging again. If this fails, try using some other defragment software or Windows Built In Defragger

i just heard that defraggler was better than the natural windows defrag system... but i was so frustrated i uninstalled it and used my native one.

Personally, in my opinion. It is. See what happens after using Windows Disk Defragmenter and Analysing to see if the results change.

Puran defrag has a free version that has a boot time defrag.
A lot of people like it.

I have Auslogics defrag free and it works well for me.
