Windows 7: Windows 7 boot screen not properly centered

Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1

Also did that about 2 months ago. I had some problems with my motherboard (nvidia) drivers so I decided to remove everything related to nvidia and use windows drivers till the problem was fixed. Nothing changed during the short period of time I used only generic windows drivers. A few days later I installed nvidia video drivers.

Have you tried disabling onboard graphic chip from the bios?
If there's any option like 'First init display' with options like onboard, pci, peg, select peg.
'Use onboard video' set to never.
As a side note, is graphical boot really important for you? If not, i'd advise check the NoGUIBoot or Boot log to prevent the annoying screen from appearing.

There is no onboard graphic as far as I know. And no, is not that important. It's just annoying because I don't know what's causing it.

Try switching the port to which the vga to dvi adapter is connected to the card.
Apart from that i've no idea what else can be done to rectify this.
Though i've asked other members about your problem and if someone knows anything about it, he/she will reply soon.

Try this experiment: boot your Windows 7 installation DVD and see if the logo is centered. If it is, then something is messed up with your current install. If it isn't, then the problem is hardware related.

I tried switching the port and the result was the same. Besides, one port is for VGA2DVI and the other one is for HDMI2DVI. When booting with the Windows DVD everything is fine except the "Press any key to boot" text, in this case only half letter is visible (the text is displayed upper than it should be) but this is happening only when booting with Windows 7 DVD. Vista & XP boot is just fine.
Again, I know the boot takes only 10 seconds but I had some weird problems with my system before and I had to change my motherboard & video card and it all started with something similar: when booting Windows XP CD I noticed that m looks like n (ninutes instead of minutes). I first ignored this and it turned out it was caused by the faulty video card

Windows 7 home premium x64

Have you tried turning the monitor off and on again. When it first gets a signal it may say 'adjusting' or similar. I have one monitor that does that, off and on sorts it out.

Worth a try, maybe.
