    Hello Welcome to SF,

I have seen this error before users have tried lot of steps finally gave up. I guess the best option would be to use Digsby or Trillian which will login to the Windows Live Server and retrive your Contact list. Its really good alternative.

    Good Luck,

    It is solved! error #80040154

I talked with Microsoft Technical support for 2 hours, and the technician was able to uninstall all of windows live and reinstall all of the options again. NO MORE ERROR MESSAGE! WOO HOO!

    1. Download and install Windows Installer Clean Up Utility:Use the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility to remove Office 2000, Office XP, or Office 2003
    2. Uninstall/delete all of Windows live Programs
download and install Windows Live Installer: Essentials - Windows Live
    3. Log in and enjoy!
