BitTorrent only has maximum download of 50mb/s?

I currently have 100 mbs bandwidth, but I have noticed that while using Bit-torrent it can only download at 50 mbs maximum. I have tried to see if you can set it up to download faster but in the set up option it can only recognize and utilize no more than 50 mbs.

Why is this and is there anyway you can get it to download at 100 mbs?

Why not try other torrent clients and check if the download speeds go up above 50 megabits.

    Hello, BomberAF.

I can recommend to you µTorrent client. With 6.5Mbps download speed , I have one torrents min. 600kb/s.

    For first , try SpeedTest.net .
And upload your result here, maybe you have problem with your download speed.

After all this , if you have problem contact your ISP, maybe ISP know for that problem and can help.

There is no reason why the software itself would limit speed, look here about optimizing your registry. Some ISP's appear (not confirmed) to limit Torrent bandwidth by throttling, check with them. There should be no assumption that just because it is a torrent it's not always a dodgy download.
    ISP's don't really understand, bless !

I have used speedtest and the results aren't always accurate because of demand and distance etc.

I use Virgin Media's own tester but that doesn't give a link to post. I normally get about 94 Mb/s wired and 88 Mb/s wireless.

And using Virgin Media's Speed Tester.

Download Speed: 94108 kbps (11763.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 3530 kbps (441.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
    Latency: 37 ms
