The difference is definitely a possible explanation.

Come to think of it, there was quite a delay inbetween the x86 release and x64. It may well be that the x64 build is sufficiently different to leave it still usable on 7, whereas the x86 isn't so lucky.

Not sure about that, its a possibility at any rate. Fairly academic anyway, it either works or it doesn't, the why is kinda beside the point.

well if so, it would be that not long ago did NL begin to support x64 at all for any system, thus this would be why. I am starting to think its the way the packet capture driver is built with the "new x86" vs "newly supported Vista x64" capture driver, which may be more similar to 7 x64. Since the capture driver for x86 based hadnt changed from XP to Vista on x86 based systems I believe, until now with 7.

After fighting for some time to install Netlimiter on Windows 7, I have finally managed to install the Netlimiter 3 beta 2 version. However, it seems that the traffic limiter is not working, meaning that I cannot control the upload and download speeds at all. I updated to beta 3 today, but with the same problem. Any ideas?

32 bit. For example, I would like to control upload speeds when sharing files, etc.

    Hi, folks

Today I tried to installed NetLimiter 2.0.10 and 3 beta 4. Both of them installed without any problems (compatiblity mode on 2.0.10). But I get a big problem. In NetMonitor 3 beta 4 it seems there's no possiblity to enable grants for bandwidth, in 2.0.10 is doesnt work anyway (limiter works fine in both).

I need this feature because I'm in a wireless network with really instable connectionspeed (between 30k and 350k). I always listen to music and it really sucks getting interrupts on bigger downloads.

If I configure the grants in NL 2 for i.e. Winamp it seems to work, but if the netspeed falls down beneath a certain level I get ugly interrupts. Other (not limited or granted) application have enought speed to compare this but it wont work... All over I have i.e. 100kb bandwidth, a app takes 95kb and the configured 15 kb for winamp were ignored and it stuck.

Any solution for this problem or any suggestions for alternative programs?

    Thanks alot

I'm rescue-ing this post to inquire if has anyone found a netlimiter alternative that, well, works pretty like it.

Here i have no problem ins netlimiter 2 on 7 x64, except that it will cause me random bsods.

The 3 beta "works" but not very well, it has some problems still recognize applicaton traffic (utorrent) and doesn't control well some applications.

    Any tips?

Using Netlimiter 3, absolutely no problems.
