OpenVPN on Windows 7 Professional x64

I've run into problems installing OpenVPN in the past on Windows 7, but my normal fixes don't seem to work on this box. I have other Windows 7 nodes up and running OpenVPN, but none specifically on a Pro x64 box (if that even matters,) so I hope it's possible.

My problem is once OpenVPN is installed, it's GUI doesn't give me an option to 'Connect' when I right-click the tray icon. Normally, there are options to Connect, Disconnect (grayed), Edit Password, View Log, etc.

Normally, I can take ownership of the OpenVPN program folder and that takes care of this precise problem, but not this time. In other versions, the GUI can be run in Vista compatability, or just run as administrator. But, this one still doesn't work.

There's at least one event that manifests when the GUI launches

    Event ID: 1001
    Fault bucket , type 0
    Event Name: PCA2
    Response: Not available
    Cab Id: 0

Any clue what this might be in reference to? OpenVPN does install a TAP Win32 Adapter whose drivers sometimes produce the 'are you sure you want to install this driver?' dialog.

    Thanks in advance!

Hm, all I can think of is to ensure you install OpenVPN GUI by running the installation file in Administrator mode (if you haven't done so already)...
