Google Earth On WIN 7-64bit Sucks 100% CPU

Just installed Google Earth ver 5 on RC7100 64bit.
It sucks nearly 100% of my CPU and is very very very slow.
On the exact same computer with WIN XP SP3, Google Earth ver 5 works just fine.

Anyone else have this problem or a solution?

    Yeah

Solution is either run 32 bit or add ram. Minimum ram for 64 is 2 gig. What size is your page file?

Here are all the memory stats from WIN 7-64bit/Task Manager. I don't see the" page file" label as it was labeled in WIN XP.Seems like "available" memory is OK?

    Total memory (MB) 2046
    Cached 934
    Available 897
    Free 17

    Memory 1.11GB
    Physical Memory 55%
    Commit (MB) 2081/4093

thats actually better than I thought it would be. Can you use the built in snipping tool (type snip in search) to take a pic of the perf tab in task manager and upload it to us?

I find that the CPU load is greatly reduced if you run Google Earth in directX rather than openGL mode. It's still a resource hog but is at least manageable

I also checked my 3D settings and "Direct X" is selected, not "open GL"

According to your screen shot, nothing is using your CPU at 100%....
