Have you tried Foxit Advanced PDF Editor. ( PDF Editor ;- Edit and Convert PDF, Word files to PDF, Free PDF convert, save PDF forms, create PDF forms, pdf documents, protect pdf)
Download and try the demo version. After little Practice and little time you can do any think and every thing with PDF files like and doc file.
I am useing it for last three year with satisfaction.

seconding kalingaratna. Foxit's stuff is awesome.

Also suggesting a workaround, what about printing two pages in one? I do it routinely.

You can do it if you start tinkering with the print options and the pdf reader program isn't total rubbish.
Foxit Reader is what I use (it's free) so if you want I can give further instructions if you're afraid of doing some tinkering on your own.
