    Need Help :)

Hello.. i am trying reinstall skype.. I know almost everything about how to use computers so im not a noob or something.. i used all that i could but still nothing.. So here is the deal..

I uninstalled skype because it had some problems. after that tried to reinstall skype from the official site but said that i have another version and this version cant be installed. i then used vevo uninstaller to uninstall it completely, found some files and i pressed to uninstall it.

After that i tried install but still same message.. Then i went to windows search, did a skype word search found other folders, used vevo hunter on them and deleted them, i also deleted the folders with permanent delete.

And tryied to install again but still the same message. Its driving me crazy!!!

any ideas? any tips i must have forgotten? :/

Hello zonique and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you're comfortable editing the registry, search for skype and delete all references. (Sometimes there are left over registry remnants that even Revo Uninstaller misses.) Then try to reinstall again.

Why not just run the reg cleaner in CCleaner. I know a lot of people talk bad about it, like it's dangerous, but it's never failed me or anyone I know.

Or try revo uninstaller's advanced mode Revo Uninstaller Pro - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs easily, Forced Uninstall which allows you to clear the remaining registry of the program after uninstalling.

Then install the latest version of skype again from official link Free Skype internet calls and cheap calls to phones online - Skype or even from filehippo Download Skype 5.10.0.114 - FileHippo.com

Who are they ? Nobody in our forums for sure

CCleaner is the most trusted registry cleaner, and safe .

Maybe he is using a stranded user account, not having the admin rights ?

I think sometimes modifying the registry options require change in permissions in the registry itself.
Lets wait for a response from the OP :)
