If you have not already tried this: uninstall all versions of Java, restart and install the latest version.

If that same error happens, leave the error window there and go see if the file exists - maybe a false positive got it quarantined by your anti-virus software.

If you still cannot sort this, try going back to version 6 of Java (which does not install FX).

Here is a link to the 64bit version of java 7 update 5
(on the right side of the screen there should be a link to older versions)
    Download Java Runtime Environment 1.7.0.5 (64-bit) - FileHippo.com

From that older versions section - I found version 6 update 33
    Download Java Runtime Environment 1.6.0.33 (64-bit) - FileHippo.com

You might also use this tool to be sure that all old versions are gone:
    JavaRa | SingularLabs

Are you using any cleaning software that gets rid of temp files? Maybe the it gets rid of too much.

    Run this check 3 times:
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

The next time it goes bad, try clearing Java's temp files before you un-install an re-install.
How do I clear the Java cache?

Do other users have this problem?

    Did you run SfC?
If it finds no problems the first time that you run it - no need to run it again.
