Total Uninstall - Anyone recommend it ?

Hi, I am looking around for a 64 bit uninstaller of programs and wondered if anyone uses this and recommends it above other uninstallers.

    Hi,

Is there any reason you don't want to use Control Panel > Programs to uninstall software? That's always my first option.

I am currently using Total Uninstaller on my PC and really like it. I have also used Revo Uninstaller Pro and have found Total Uninistaller to be just as effective in removing most of the traces left over after uninstalling programs.

Only that I think through the Windows 7 utility it leaves some files residing in the system

Can you tell me what the cleaner actually cleans ?

I highly recommend testing anything that you "might" uninstall on a virtual machine instead. The less you actually install on your everyday host machine, the less cleanup you have to do.

Total Uninstaller will first create a backup of the program you are uninstalling and then it runs the uninstaller for the program first, and when that is completed it checks for left over files and registry entries and deletes those as well.

I just upgraded to the Pro version as I had the free issue and that seemed ok on my old 32 bit PC
