Windows Seven doesn't require these registry cleaning programs like XP did. Best to save your money and time and just leave well enough alone. If it's not broke, don't fix it !

Their is no automatic fixer upper registry cleaner/tune up program I would trust. Fooling around with the registry can be a hazards to your computer if you don't know what you are doing. Some use registry programs to find things and deal with them as they see fit. NO automatic registry anything because no one knows what they do. If you are having a problem with your computer, post it so we can help. Most likely it's not the registry.

Old win XP program only works in Safe Mode on Win 7
An old windows program only runs in safe mode in Win 7, but worked fine in XP. The start up exe file looks for a set of files in a sub-directory, but it seems as if something in Win 7 is directing it to another directory. There is no ini file as far as I can see, and it works just fine in Win 7...
