Since your operating system is 64-bit, you should install the 64-bit Java Development Kit (JDK). x86 refers to 32-bit and x64 refers to 64-bit.

The JDK is primarily aimed at Java developers and includes a collection of programming tools. Unless you're taking a course that requires JDK, or you're a developer in training, the average person probably doesn't need to install it. Or are you wanting to install the Java that allows you to play online games, view images in 3D, etc?
