Has the person using Quickbooks, have they made in local backups? That is a backup to physical media, like a flash drive. If so, you could replace the file with the latest backup.

We use QuickBooks 2012 at work. We make daily backups for that very reason. I've had to use the back up to restore the data base, but only on a few occasions.

I'd use that latest one. Then suggest to make backups daily to a thumb drive.

Thanks for the link, I sure had time getting Babylon out of my home network.

As far as backing up to a flash drive...I will suggest that he invest in a 32 GB capacity flash drive.

By the way Great forum. :)
