    Install .dll failures

I've been trrying to install a business application given to me by a colleague. The install will stop at about 75% complete and tells me that my computer is missing a .dll file although the file is on the computer in the systen32 directory. I ran the install several times and it stops at the same spot but with a different .dll that is on the computer. Anybody know what's going on??? Thanks.

Welcome to Seven Forums larz. Do you have a 32 bit OS (x86) or a 64 bit OS (x64)? Fill in your system specs will help

System Info - See Your System Specs

It's possible the application if for the other OS version. a x64 version may also have the dlls in SysWOW64. It's also possible the dlls are on the system but not registered. Screenshots of the errors will also help

If the application installer is 32 bit and your OS is 64 bit, when it thinks it's looking in Windows\system32 it's actually looking in Windows\SysWow64 due to 32 bit emulation.

Since you have 12 GB ram and home premium I'm assuming for now that it's a pre-installed OS and would therefore be 64 bit. But please post/fill in data/ as A Guy requested.
