    I can't uninstall this program.

Hi, I did a system restore to reinstall a program that I had uninstalled. It did not work. For some reason the program was only half heartedly removed, it was still on my PC but fragmented.

So I decided to completely uninstall it...however, I cannot. When I click uninstall it tells me this error that it can't find some uninstall file in my appdata folder. The setup.exe for that program also tells me the same thing. So now I cannot reinstall it because I can't uninstall it in the first place!

How can I force uninstall it?

Could you give us a clue what program you are having problems with.
You stated you tried a restore point and it didn't work. Can you use any restore points before you tried the uninstall?

Even using a restore point of a day before it is fragmented. The restore does however tell me "your documents weren't affected" which I don't nessicarily want.

I know I could restore previous versions of the appdata but that seems like a bad idea. I could open previous versions of it and see if maybe I can copy and paste that uninstall file though...

Usually, when I encounter something like this, I use one of two tools (or both). Revo Uninstaller may be able to remove it. If not, I use CCleaner to scan the registry and remove any keys related to the software, so I can uninstall/reinstall it.

    Thy this!

    Go to start/ Control panel/ Programs/ Uninstall a program

Then select the corrupt program and select uninstall.

    Hope that helped

This is your best method of removing this easily. Otherwise you might have to manually hunt the items down, but I would suggest Googling if the program has a separate uninstall application that you can use.
