First borrow or make a win7 install or repair CD. Then do a System Restore to go back in time to prior to problems.
I can't believe \Windows\system32\config\system is missing. Corruption is more likely but why twice a month? So do a checkdisk as well.
Thanks for the suggestions guys, but I was already able to fix this problem. I did borrow a Windows 7 DVD and repaired it. But I have a question. How can I make a Repair CD for Win 7 Ultimate 64bit? Thanks

I have a Lenovo Desktop which have Windows 7 Professional on it running for 2 years.
