Sorry,
Right click on icon you want to change... there you can pin to taskbar or start menu or go to properties where you will see
the shortcut tab already opened and below that is where you can change the icon.

is there a program to toggle the items on a desktop?
There are quite a few,none of which I have tried bar trimdesk (the free version).It's very nice -toggle icons on and off, as well as taskbar,background and gadgets.
I often save thing to the desktop.
Usually my desktop is clear except for "computer" and "trash can".
However, when I navigate to the desktop prior to saving;
there are other system folders visible to the user (ex: Control Panel System Folder).
Can I make these hidden both on the desktop...
I am using an object dock in Windows 7 home basic and I want to hide/remove the icons of mycomputer and recycle bin on my desktop because it is already in the dock.. Unfortunately I don't know how to hide those icons. Please help me. Thanks in advance!
I've been looking around for something that can hide my desktop icons (or basically anything except my background & bottom navigation bar) if I'm not viewing the desktop.
In other words, when I have a (not full screen) window open, I want to be able to see my desktop background but not the icons...
I know you can hide all desktop icons, but is there a way to hide only certain icons? I have some icons that represent macros along with shortcuts but I don't want those to cluster my desktop.
