The check appeared on every icon after disk checking by AVGDiscDoctor


Please help how to fix it.

I haven't used AVGDiscDoctor, but try to search in Options or Preferences menu, see what comes up. Or you can try reinstalling the program. If it appears only on shortcut files (.lnk) and you haven't got tons of those, try making new ones.

Are you sure that it was AVG Disk Doctor that caused this? I'm downloading it right now, I'll post back with results after checking.

I found the solution.
Open My Computer.
Click Organize on top left corner.
Select Folder and Search Options.
Go to view tab.
Scroll down to the option "Use check boxes to select items"
Uncheck it, click apply.
Post results.

i suddenly have 'Local Disk Q' on my drive list in windows explorer, which of course i cannot access. disk management only shows volume c and d and the dvd drive, as it should. what might cause that and how do i eliminate it?
