    MS Easy Transfer

I just started my new computer. It is HP h9-1180 running Win 7 Home with IE 8.
I was able to download/install MS Easy Transfer on it. Easy Transfer also needs to be installed on my old computer.
On my old computer, when I clicked on download/save @ the MS web page, I opened the the file and it started to install then gave me the error message that I didn't have the authority to update Windows and to check with my system administrator. I am logged into my computer as administrator.
Can anyone tell me why Easy Transfer won't let me install on my old computer?
If any additional info is needed, please let me know what and I'll furnish it.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner ... but looks like you want to install Easy Transfer on both PCs because you want to migrate stuff from the old PC to the new PC, right?

Are you aware that the app only migrates settings and data? It will not migrate applications.

Software that will migrate applications is called PC Mover and it is from LapLink. If you want to move apps as well as settings and data, you should look into that.
