I didn't say anything about overclocking, I said speed up the system clock so that instead of the clock ticking off seconds it ticks off tenths of seconds so that the system clock speeds up. The problem would be that each time you ran your program you would need to reset the system time.
If your friend's program is relying on the system clock to count down 30 seconds or something like that it would think 30 seconds went by when only 3 seconds actually went by.
