Yes and thanks again zephyr it is working out fine. Just a point though is that as this is a stand alone product it will mean one has to keep your own security up to date as Microsoft have specific patches for the Office they put out eh?
again, I would say as much. but, Kingsoft have been on my laptop since more than a year ago (?), and it doesn't seem to be any kind problem to my old lappie. but it's always the best to keep your system security up to date, isn't it?
Absolutely zephyr I was thinking more along the lines that the crims target the M$ Office and hence the security patches they put out and seeing the burgeoning problem with malware I am beginning to think it won't be long before they are into everything that opens and shuts.

I saw somewhere today that Mac's are also coming under increasing attack from the malware mob

    nah, gotcha, isn't it?
it's been a quite rumour for the last few months actually. it's only time until this happens IMO though. they managed to sneak into the Macs

btw, I've tried the Jarte and I must say, it's very simple and... uh, mini! even though it doesn't suit to my taste and I'm not really comfortable with it, but Jarte's always a good option for people out there who don't seek the complicity of office and only use office word casually. thanks for the suggestion.
