Microsoft MVP

Vista, Windows7, Mint Mate, Zorin, Windows 8

I run Libre Office In Zorin (a Linux distro) which I run in VMware Player. Works very well there. It came with Zorin and I did not have to install anything.

Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bits 7601 Multiprocessor Free Service Pack 1

The problem seems to be solved.
I downloaded de DVD and mounted it.
It took ages, but finally Liberoffice 4 completed the installation.
See what this is worth compared to Office 2010.
Word is still working, so it is possible to use them both on the same PC.
As one expects Liberoffice is installed in the X86 folder.
So it's obvious no 64 bits version.
Thank you for your quick reply and help.

Windows 7 Home Premium x64

If Bernardus would like to confirm the download size of the package that failed to install?

In the past, I've tried to download from FileHippo and LibreOffice. Often, the download will "complete" before the full 200+MB. During the download, it (Firefox) never informed the target size, just the current size. Then, along the way, the download is done (1/3, 1/2, 3/4, 4/5, 5/6 of 200+MB) with no indication the download was faulty or interrupted.

Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bits 7601 Multiprocessor Free Service Pack 1

I downloaded the file that wouldn't work from the official website, and two others sites, it's 187.636 kb Initial. (NL version)
Naam: LibreOffice_4.0.0_Win_x86.msi
CRC-32: 55ee1182
MD4: a6438875a56c79f91498a206679d0310

There are comments that it's preferable to use another browser for instance Firefox.
(Google Chrome seems to be less reliable for some reason)
I'm using Waterfox 64 bit, which is similar to Firefox.

I posted this problem in the OpenOffice forum, but I see now it's really a Win 7 problem. I've installed maybe 50 programs, both 32-bit and 64-bit, on this new Win 7 computer, without problems. OO and LO refuse to install. I have "ownership" of every file in C:\Windows. I was advised to do...
Fail to update LibreOffice
