The problem seems to be solved.
I downloaded de DVD and mounted it.
It took ages, but finally Liberoffice 4 completed the installation.
See what this is worth compared to Office 2010.
Word is still working, so it is possible to use them both on the same PC.
As one expects Liberoffice is installed in the X86 folder.
So it's obvious no 64 bits version.
Thank you for your quick reply and help.
If Bernardus would like to confirm the download size of the package that failed to install?
In the past, I've tried to download from FileHippo and LibreOffice. Often, the download will "complete" before the full 200+MB. During the download, it (Firefox) never informed the target size, just the current size. Then, along the way, the download is done (1/3, 1/2, 3/4, 4/5, 5/6 of 200+MB) with no indication the download was faulty or interrupted.

I downloaded the file that wouldn't work from the official website, http://nl.libreoffice.org/download/ and two others sites, it's 187.636 kb Initial. (NL version)

There are comments that it's preferable to use another browser for instance Firefox.
(Google Chrome seems to be less reliable for some reason)
I'm using Waterfox 64 bit, which is similar to Firefox.
