storing scanned documents
Right now all of my scanned document are stored by the month i.e.. February, March, etc. I do not want them stored this way. I just want them accessible without regard to the month. Help!

The scanner is a cheap HP Photosmart 110. I have no idea what software it uses. The computer is running Windows 7 Home Premium.
Many office type scanners, such as the Fujitsu ScanSnaps and the neatdesks, come with organizing software but the downside to those is they use proprietary file names. If you were to decide to change scanners or the software becomes unavailable after an OS change, your filenames would be jibberish to you.
Even though I use a ScanSnap S1500 which came with two different kinds of organizing software, I prefer to use Windows file and folder system for my documets. I name and, if applicable, date each file, such as "Rent 2013-01", and keep them in folders with simple names, such as "Receipts" or "Rent". I usually can find what I want very quickly.

Napwars1810, Can it be assumed that you have installed the latest HP software for your all in one hp?
How do you scan? Pressing the scan button on your printer should bring up the software to do the scanning, if you have the HP software installed. Usually there are options that you can change.
Are you sure it is not a hp D110?
