    Start appllication with administrator rights

    hello,

the users at my company do not have admin rights. But now i have an application that needs to start with admin right, if not the application does't work. Now we can't give our administrator password to the user, so i would like to ask if someone has an idea how i could do this?

in the earlier days we had windowsXP here and we had the same problem but then i could script this with autoIt , but now with windows 7 this doesn't work anymore.

    TY

Depending on the version of Windows, you might want to try this:

Elevated Program Shortcut - Create for Standard User

Then add the shortcut to the startup folder.

i already had looked at the tread before but this is not an option for me. The user needs to start the application without we giving him the administrator password

    we are using windows7 64bit

    Well, according to this thread:

Auto Startup Program with Administrative Privileges

    This might be a solution:

Wilders Security Forums - View Single Post - How to run a program elevated at startup in a standard account when UAC is enabled

However, it sounds a bit messy and since I haven't personally tried it, I must stress the possibility of security/application issues.

Someone else who's had a better experience might be able to give you a better solution.
