Missing registry key for default programs assossiation

    Hello !

    I have a weird problem :

I'm using foobar2000 and mpc-hc for music and video play, and i have set them to be the default programs to open respectivly music and video files.

I tried to search where the registry keys are saved to make sure it's the default player for other local users too.

    On
    Code:
    HKCU\Software\Classes
i see nothing related to .mp3 (while double clicking an .mp3 file open it as intended with foobar2000)

Maybe foobar wrote in local machine ?

    I took a look at
    Code:
    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\.mp3
It exist, but what a surprise, by default i see "WMP11.AssocFile.MP3"
I took a look at it, and found
    Code:
    "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe" /prefetch:6 /Play "%L"
I have the very same problem for video files and MPC-HC.

What dark magic do they uses, and what can i do to set default programs for theses files set to foobar2000 and MPC-HC on future new users, and currently created users ?

(In case it helps, i used windows default program to set musics to default on foobar, and used MPC-HC internal tool for it for videos)

    I'm really lost.

Can't you just go to "Default Programs" and set the associations there?

Hello, it won't associate the files to other users.
