TeamViewer prompts for password during auto-reconnect

Searching the web did not help. Auto-reconnect might not be the correct term to search for.

    Steps to reproduce:
    connect to a remote client
select the option to have TeamViewer (TV) reboot the remote client
(reboot to the safe or normal mode - it does not matter)
select reboot to go forward with the reboot
    select wait for partner
close the TV window to the client (or let it timeout)
eventually, you should get a popup asking if you want to reconnect
selecting reconnect should not prompt for a password
    it should just reconnect you

It does not do this on all of my clients.
    (e.g. some work as expected.)
My TV app is up to date.
The client's TV app is up to date.

I've deleted/re-created the saved info for the client that I'm currently working with. Installed TV on the client. Restarted TV's app and service on my laptop.

Does anyone else see this or know of a fix?

    thanks

edit: If it matters two clients that do prompt upon auto-reconnect are running W7 and two that work as expected are also running W7. I've not tested an XP box.

I don't have TV, but looking through the manual I saw this on pg79 General Advanced settings, and had to ask if it could be as simple as a setting I highlighted?:
    General advanced settings

    Random password after each session

From the drop-down list, select whether or when you would like
TeamViewer to generate a new random password for incoming sessions.

    The following options are available:

    Keep current:
The new password will not be generated until TeamViewer is restarted.

    Generate new:
TeamViewer generates a new password after each completed session.

    Deactivate:
A random password is generated only once.

    Show confirmation:
TeamViewer asks you after each session whether you would like to generate a new password.

    Thanks for checking the manual.

Those settings impact how TV handles the temporary password used to let others connect to me.

The password that TV is sort of forgetting is the one it has stored that lets me connect to others.

TV remembers the password of the remote client for every function except auto-reconnect.

As much as I've heard forum members recommend TV, I figured that this would be a good place for feedback on this recent bug. I plan on taking it up with TV, but I wanted to be able to say that others see this behavior too.

    Thanks again for posting.

    Stating the problem another way:

I'm not looking to solve the issue with the TV app via suggestions in this forum. I plan on contacting TeamViewer (TV), but I wanted to be able to say if this was happening to others.

I figured with a user base this large, someone else would be able to say:
Yes, I see that too on some remote clients.
    or
No, TV works as expected for me.

The flaw seems to be on my computer's install of TV, not the remote client. I can double click on a link within the TV app to automatically connect to a remote client. The password for that remote client is stored within TV. If I ask the remote client to reboot, I am given the option to tell that remote client to notify me once the reboot has completed. If I select that option, then the TV app on the remote client will send me info that it has completed the reboot and is awaiting my connection.

The remote client reboots as expected/desired.
TV starts on the remote client
That remote TV then sends the signal to my TV app saying that it is ready for me to reconnect.

I see this in the form of a popup window that has a button labeled reconnect.
I click on that button to reconnect.
My TV software seems to send the wrong password to the remote client.

The remote client rejects the connection and after a brief pause, my TV software to ask me for the very password that it is supposed to keep stored (the password that it was supposed to send during the reconnection attempt). If I manually enter the password for the remote client, it will connect. If I cancel the prompt for the password and reuse the TV link that I originally used to connect, it will connect.

This has noting to do with the operating system's account passwords. This is all a TV issue. Again, I'm not looking to solve the issue with the TV app via suggestions in this forum. I just want to know if I'm the only person seeing this. Out of all of the members here - someone has to have restarted a remote client using TV recently. I'm just looking for feedback on how that went for them.
