Can't get adobe updater to find the internet

I have been running Adobe CS3 on the RC for months with no issues. Today I installed my Windows 7 Ultimate Signature Edition on to my computer. Installed CS3 no problem but when I went to update I got an error message that "Adobe Updater could not find an internet connection. Please check firewall and internet settings."

I have manually given the program access though all firewalls.
I have tried running without firewalls.
    I have tried Repairing installation.
I have tried Uninstall, Run Adobe Cleaner, then reinstall.
I downloaded adobe reader just to test out the updater. No luck with that either.

I was able to manually download the updates with no isses.

    Anyone else have this issue.

I know the Adobe forums have some similiar posts but must deal with IE7 and CS2.

I have tried to do my due dilligence.

I will check that out when I get home. I ran the problem report and noticed that adobe updater show a compatibility error. I am going to investigate that also.

I tried doing what you mentioned no luck.

Just as a further update I was able to install the Adobe on my laptop and the updater works no problem. I am running Windows Pro.

Back to my desktop. I downloaded adobe reader and tried running an update through adobe reader. The adobe reader updater connects and finds no available updates at this time.

I have tried copying the reader updater into the local files for Adobe and still no luck.

Anyone know of a good Adobe Cleaner that I can run that will delete all traces of Adobe products and then I will try to reinstall.

    SOLVED!!!

I was able to get the updater working by disabling the virtual wifi.
