    Skype 6.3 Crashing

    Hey Guys,

This is a problem with Skype, this problem started occurring when we updated to Skype 6.3. When we open the program it tells use that something has caused the program to stop responding and windows will now close the program. We don't use add-on software such as Messenger plus for Skype nothing, it's just Skype on it's own. We haven't found nothing that helped on online, We have reinstalled Skype, Not to sure what else we can do. Just a note if it means anything we have just reinstalled windows 7, Everything else works fine on the laptop. I am not to familiar with the way this program works behind the scene.

    Thanks

Hello RitualJman, how are you signing in, with a skype ID? Try browsing through the Skype forums they might have an answer for you.

Okay, sometimes using an older version works, not sure if this is one you tried but thought it would be worth a look for you

Try to uninstall the currently installed version and install the older 6.1.0.129 version using this msi-installer:

    http://download.skype.com/msi/SkypeSetup_6.1.0.129.msi

After installing this version, make sure to disable the Automatic updates:

Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Automatic updates ->Turn off automatic updates
