Hi always used 'Adobe Reader', mainly for viewing, saving & printing PDF Files, but recently I've got tired of all the updates & possible vulnerabilities. Was thinking of trying 'Foxit Reader' as an alternative & was wondering what people thought of it?
Or would you recommend another alternative?

I'm using the PDF reader that's built into the latest versions of Firefox, and I like it quite a bit. However I see that you also use Chrome and IE 10, so I can't comment on alternatives for Adobe Reader. However, I haven't updated Adobe Reader in a long time and I have none of the supposed problems that could arise from not getting the latest version.
So I say keep using it but just ignore the updates. Although, that's just me. This is a public forum, so I'm obligated to say "you do it at your own risk".

perhaps you should check out the alternative2 sight. click on the one you are curious about and read the comments, reviews, count the likes etc. This is the best advice I can give you at this time. hope this helps

Cheers guys for your quick response..............I 've also used FFox's built in PDF Reader,which seems fine but you still need something like Adobe or Foxit for printing a PDF

Yes ..........I've just saved a document, but a would need a reader to open it
I use Foxit Reader and have had no problems.
One tool that I really liked is Nuance PDF Viewer Plus. I got a copy from my Brother printer drivers CD. I think the newer version is called simple Nuance PDF Reader. Very lean fast tool that opened well any document I tried. At some point Acrobat stopped working on my PC and I switched to Nuance. I never missed Acrobat except for the plug-in for web browsers. I don't really like the Firefox built in PDF reader so far. It's kind of slow and doesn't open all files.
