How to change a software's default installation drive.

    Hello people.

I'm having a bit of an issue. I installed my Win7 on a 32Gb SSD thinking I will just have to change the default installation drive path of every software I'm gonna install to the 1Tb internal HDD. But some of them don't give me any choice like DropBox for example.
Win7 left me with only 8-9gb of free space on teh SSD, so I believe I'll be running out of disk space soon enough.
Any tips please ? It'll do some good to me :)

Well, thanks for the fast reply ! So for Dropbox it's done, they asked me in the end where I want to put it, but it's not the only software I have this issue with, any more "general" trick ? 4Gb left already for 3-4 softs ...

Depending on the Software during installation it will ask do you want typical or custom . Click on custom and in there just change the C:\Program Files\ to D:\ or which ever the letter is for the second hard drive or partition .

       Note
Make sure you create the Program Files folder inside the new location . If you have Win7 x64-bit you will also want to add Program Files (x86) folder

Well, I was sure someone will misunderstand the question :). I know how to select another path of course, but some softwares simply won't ask me any path for installing all the files during the installation process. I thought maybe a command line would help me out but I'm not too experienced with the DOS :/ ...

Like Ccleaner for example. I thought such a program would let me a choice but it didn't. Chrome installed itself (when I downloaded Flash Player, automatic download and install of Chrome ... not very much appreciated), so again no question asked ... Skype also didn't ask me anything. I suspect too many softwares do that and it will fulfill my low space very quickly !
I don't install Microsoft Office as I use the google Drive features online all the time. I used to work a bit with OpenOffice too but I don't think this soft will bypass my will to install it on my bigger partition.

CCleaner does take a look at image below

You click on Browse… button or just change the C: to the other letter

    Skype :

    then

Look at the Select where Skype should be installed

       Tip
Before you click Install on any program look at the buttons it has on it . It will lead you to your options of where to install the software
