Zynga - Can I Just Delete The Files

    Hi,

I installed the CD that came with a Gigabyte motherboard. A "Zynga" icon shortcut showed up. Unlike others, there is NOT any presence of Zynga in Internet Explorer that I can see, nothing seen in Services or Processes, and after deleting the icon, it has stayed gone. Nor is there anything to uninstall in Uninstall Programs. BUT, there are about 100 files on my C drive, associated with Zynga, the vast majority in a sub-folder called "Splashtop". These are mostly dll.mui files. Can I just delete these, or is there something else I should do to eliminate any and all remnants of Zynga?

    Thank you.

    Phil

One way is to start from scratch again, i.e. reinstall Windows 7, and this time when installing from the Gigabyte CD, pay attention to what not to install.

If there is no uninstall in the Splashtop folder, delete the "zynga" files or move them to a "quarantine", and use CCleaner to catch any stray "zynga" elements. And to take it to the extreme, go into the registry via regedit.exe and search and destroy appropriate "zynga" stragglers.
