Is there a way to use Windows XP Image Viewer on Win7?

I'm really annoyed cause the Win 7 photo Viewer opens a new instance for every image.
I saw posts on various sites linking to the Microsoft support page for it, but there is now doanload link (despite people claiming it several times).

Would it run under Win7 (not counting XP Mode)?

If not, is there an alternative that has about the same functions?
I.e. zoom, slideshow, cycle through images in the directory with arrow keys/pageup and down, deletion, save as and allowing something like open in editor or open with?

Preferably not any direct editing possibilities (except maybe something like rotation as in the original Win XP image viewer) I don't risk accidentally changing something.

    Thanks!

    I am bit confused now?

The default Windows 7 Photo Viewer can among other things:
    • Zoom in and out
    • Present a slideshow
    • Cycle through images in the directory with arrow keys
    • Delete images
    • Save a copy of an image, print or email it
    • Burn images to CD/DVD
    • Open it in any program you want to
    • Rotate images
