What is a good free SRT opener?
I looked at but it has loads of add ons!

The easiest way is to just use a normal text editor (notepad for example) since .srt subtitle files are regular plain text files with a special structure.

A more serious program to edit may be Subtitle Edit that supports editing and looking at the file and associated video and a few more things. It's open source.
