Digita Persona Fingerprint reader not working Pavillion dv6 1337tx

I recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit in my laptop. I also installed Digita persona fingerprint software along with other drivers and software. No error message is shown. Just a window is coming with a blue bar showing it is being installed. That's it. I can also see it as installed in the control panel. But nothing more happens. The fingerprint reader is not detecting fingerprint. What can be the reason for this problem and how can I solve this?

I have downloaded the validity sensor driver as well as the chipset driver. I tried to install the chipset driver but it flashed a message "the computer does not meet the minimum requirement for installing the software. Setup will exit." By the way is chipset installation anyway related with validity sensor installation? I ask this because in Hp site it is written that it only "Expands support to include all languages." Is it such a big deal?

Hi there .... Did you upgrade to Windows Ultimate ... I see there is no mention to any Version of OS on the HP website only Windows 7 ... The function of a chipset is to manage data throughput. All data that your components require or acquire need to be transported. They are transported by what's known as a bus. ... I cant say for certain this might be the cause of your Device not working ... Its the only thing i can think of at this moment

Well as you can see, now I can't install the chipset driver as the message shows. Previously I had Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit installed, but I formatted the Hard disk first and then installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit version. In HP website also there is no clear mention as to what can be the reason behind its not working!!

Hi. I posted the chipset installation problem in HPs support forum and they gave me the updated version. So finally I could install the chipset utility driver from Intel. Still Validity sensor is not working!

I posted my problem in a separate thread there, but it seems they don't know how to fix it either, that's why I posted in this forum.

Hi there ... Been reading the Posts on the HP website ... Seems there is two sets of software for this Device ... Which software did you download ? ... Also have you checked in the Bios to see if it is Enabled ... I think its F10 to get into the Bios ... Then Go to System Cofiguration -> Built-In Device Options, find Fingerpint Device on the list and check is it enabled

Hi there ... If you are still having problems ... Go to the Link below .. And then Page 1 . Follow the Instructions there .. I only found this by trying every page ... The Links which the HP support has given takes you to the wrong pages .
