    I`ve never had to go into add/remove to install or uninstall .net updates. They`ve always come through windows update. But they should be checked on, not off.

    The checkbox should be a solid blue.

    yes it is ... i downloaded this windwos from the original windows site (my brother is in computer science graduate so he has a free copy of windows product - winows 7) if it helps i can provide the serial number that came along...

    Aw man. Nah. I admit that I was hoping that this was the culprit because it probably would have been an easy fix of just getting a legit copy.

    Back to the drawing board. :)

    The only other thing that I can personally think of is maybe there's some kind of weird malware or virus or something.

    i tried scanning with avast! it found 3 viruses that were deleted ... got any other software that can delete some kind of these things ?
