The good thing is, you get everything, and can keep what you want. As long as d/l speeds aren't a huge issue, it's all good

Hmm I would be very careful using the portable stuff. Watched a good doco on TV last night re those being tracked willy nilly and you would be surprised who is watching

    Scary stuff. ABC iview_

sorry, i couldn't find what you wre talking about in the link you sent me
Don't worry, although i usually go without an antivirus, I am careful, weekly scans with various tools, even scans OUTSIDE my OS in a Win7(or XP) LivePE so no processes cover up a file, and more... I can't think of how much time i've put into care for my computer, lol. I guess i never want a major crash again, and even if I do, I can always reinstall, I can get my data off my HD, I think, for myself, I'm in the clear. Others probably won't go the lengths i go to keep my computer at it's topmost speed (one reason i go without an AV, but i work hard to replace the protection)

I also realize there are MANY dangerous or Illegal portable apps created, and I, for one, will NOT go near those, i do immense research on my software before getting it

BTW, there don't happen to be a download all button, is there?

Well mate the choice is yours of course but personally for the sake of installing a freebie and there are plenty around I think it is playing with fire.

Stacks in here but again your choice. Probably the Best Free Security List in the World

That other link was a national carrier doco on how companies and governments are tracking and gathering data from the tablets and particularly phones that so many blithely sue all day - very scary stuff. You would be suprised well shocked really - at what is being gathered and how much they know about you hence my concern that you do not use a real time security.
