iTunes locked disk or you do not have write permissions

I am not an expert technician, but have tried everything I have been able to search for online to no avail. This iTunes locked disk message will not go away no matter what I do. I am attempting to install iTunes 64 bit (version 11.0.5?) and have had no luck for several hours. I have tried the approach found on this forum, but wasn't sure where to apply it, so I am hoping someone else can help me get this installed.
