Alternatives to Photoshop...so you didn't buy Photoshop?
    Figures it didn't work.

    * One who spent over $700-$1,000 on Photoshop is not going to go looking for alternatives.

    maybe he's running the trial/demo?

the bridge folder is "program files (x86)\adobe\adobe bridge cs4"

so do you actually have it installed, and the problem occurs when you try to run the program?

or when you try to run the installer?

It's not there because it will not install, so theres no folders associated with adobe. The secound I try & run the exe file the missing file dialog box pops right up & tells me dll is missing from my computer but it is in my syswow64 folder just not in the sys32 folder. I've tried to copy & paste it over to sys32 but that does not work?

i really don't know, i didn't have this problem while installing, and i'm not even sure that i had this file on my computer - as i've said, i only have this file in the aforementioned bridge folder, and that appeared after the install.

there really is no proper alternative to photoshop as far as i know, but i hear that the gimp and paint.net aren't bad - and they are free too!

Thanks for the responses mickey. I just installed my mates copy of cs3 which I can still trial for abit. I think it the missing dll file is something to do with microsoft's net framework from what I read.
