Am using speckie as a spell check for anything that doesn't have one and it lists "ma" as a correct spelling Now I am English and have always spelt it as "Ma".

Before I go completely cookoo can someone suggest a spell check that will not drive me nuts PLEASE!! because in the above text it lists spelt and cookoo as wrong!!

If you right click on the word you can add it to the dictionary and it remember it and not show that anymore

Hmm well we always used something that was already worded wrongly as spelt the right or wrong way as it is current tense ie you say to to someone "it is spelt *******" and is correcting someone on the spelling you can of course say it is spelled ****** but it (to me) sounds not quite grammatically right as you are instructing someone how to spell it.

Now cookoo is the call of the bird of course and we used it as a form of saying that it was driving one mad.

What annoys me is that "ma" and words like favor and flavor color where I always spell them with a u in the last half of the word. But you see I was educated in England and I find the corruption of the language quite annoying at times. Plus being a Registered Nurse I get VERY annoyed at the American spellings of anatomical structures and test terms too. As much as I get a bit testy with Buoy which Americans say as boo-ee and it should be pronounce d as boy as in young male. My last pet dislike is aluminium which is said a as aloominum
