For Foxit updates, I download the latest version and install over the top.
If you updated from within the program that might explain the difference.

6.1.2.1224 isn't the latest version, 6.1.4.0217 was released on 02/19/2014.
I got alerted to "missing security patches", that's how I learned of the new version...

Foxit forums have some weirdo's on it, Ala, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher Are Engaged - Foxit Corporation Forums

I did get my update when I opened a PDF file. It checks when it's opened but somehow missed the newer one, that's OK though, for now.

Yea, I don't think they monitor the forum that much.
But then, we're spoiled by SF.

The Cloud plugin is automatically installed in 6.2.1.0618. Gives no option to opt out of installing it during installation process. Just uninstalled it and said some files couldn't be removed.

Wonder if the folder, Foxit Cloud in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader can be safely removed.

The Foxit Cloud folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader was empty so I deleted that.

Foxit Cloud installs a service that is set to Automatic start.

To not get the "some files couldn't be removed" error when Uninstalling, you need to Stop the Foxit Cloud service before uninstalling.
