there is a big problem with me,i had installed ultraedit in my computer which i uninstalled it after the trial period got over as i didn't wanted to continue more.but after that the text files are not being read by notepad directly.after double clicking,it is showing that the application to read the files has to be downloaded from internet.please help me in these regard.
try changing the default program that opens text files. Click start, default programs; and in there you should be able to tell text files to open with notepad. If that does not work post back and we can go from there.
i have tried that but dissapoinamtment because thre is no .txt extension in there to assign a default program
