    Visual Studio 2008 download link?

This is probably a stupid question, but can someone give me the download link for Visual Studio 2008?

I know I've installed it before, but I can't seem to remember where I downloaded it. This link is the closest one I could find, but it only provides a PowerPoint file.

Do you have a license for the program? Do you have a MSDN account?

    I just googled
    http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...59930103,d.eW0

The Express Edition is free. An email registration is all that's required.

The iso should have all the Express languages in the disc image.

If you're interested, there are newer versions (2010 and 2013) available.
Most companies drop download links for older versions as newer versions become available.
Even if you don't want 2010 or 2013 now, you might want to download the ISOs and save them.
That way you will have them if you decide you want them later, and have a hard time finding the info and download link.

    Additional information

    Visual Studio 2010 Express

Visual Studio Express 2013 is the current version of free developer tools, which are defined by the platforms they target. Each includes Visual C++, Visual C#, and Visual Basic. Visual Studio 2010 Express is an earlier version of free developer tools, most of which are defined by the one programming language each supports.

Digital River actually retains most of the old MS stuff for download, including Visual Studio 2008. I've listed all that's available here: Visual Studio Direct Download Links (Visual Studio 2008 Standard is the only download available from the 2008 edition.)

The software can only install when you enter a valid key. For the free Express edition I don't know of any download that still exists.

MSDN downloads can install either with a static key, or even without key, however doing that without owning the respective subscription would be quite illegal, and cause license issues no later than when you want to publish the software you've developed with VS.
