Looking for a software to turn off and on internet at certain time

I'm looking for a good software that will automatically stop all internet activity at a certain time and back on again. Anyone know of a good software?

    Thanks.

Take a read through these from Microsoft. There might be something in there that can help. It will take a little digging because its a Microsoft site.

or use a private firewall software. I use one and it has profiles like 'block every packet' , 'public' ,'home' , 'My style' etc, you could tweak those settings for your use

Many ISP's have a schedule where you can enable and disable Internet usage at certain times, days of the week etc..
I have been on AOL, Sky and currently using Virgin Media and they have all had the ability to schedule usage. Login for your router is normally 192.168.0.1 - username and password for you is on your router or you can find a list on the manufacturers website.

You may be able to do that natively via your router

You may use the built-in Windows firewall for this, if you don't have any other in place. Just create a rule there that blocks all outgoing traffic for all programs, protocols and ports (ie everything), but leave it disabled. Then create two tasks in the task scheduler that at the given time enable or disable the rule firewall rule, by issuing the proper command line.
This don't needs any external software. While I didn't try it myself, I'm quite confident that it will work, as long as the firewall is enabled.

I was looking for a software that could shut off the internet completely. I did find a solution when I walked passed my lamp. LOL! It reminded me of the plugin timers I had, so I found my GE one and use that to shut off the router completely at night time. This pretty much will stop anyone trying to hack in while I am not using any of the computers.

    Hi Vendetta

If you go into your router settings many have the ability to schedule up time (turn on or off) :)

Thanks for all the suggestions and so far, the timer thing works great! Using a timer will extend the life of the routers too since they get to be cool off when not in use.
