    Logitech Setpoint wont install?...vc_red.msi missing?

Just reinstalled W7 for the hell of it and i am trying to install setpoint and i am getting an error right off saying vc_red.msi cannot be found? (could be vs_red.msi)

Is there anywhere to download this or where should it be in my windows directory?

    thanks

Sounds like something is blocking the installation of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable, which is included in the Setpoint install package. If you haven't try right clicking on the Setpoint exe and selecting "run as administrator". If that doesn't fix it if you have Winrar (might work with 7Zip as well), you can extract the Setpoint installer and in the extracted folder you will find a folder called Redist that contains the Visual C++ installer (32 and 64 bit if running the 64 bit Setpoint).

thanks, neither seemed to work though. This is what it says

"the featuere you are trying to use is on a network resources that is unavailable"

Then it mentions enter the path of the installation package vc_red.msi

Assuming you are running 64 bit Windows based on the 8 GB of ram in your specs, try installing the Redist directly from Microsoft,

Download details: Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x64)

Download details: Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)

Install both as Setpoint installs both 32 and 64 bit components. If they take do a quick run through Windows Update just in case there has been any updates to them (not too sure about this for 2008, but there have been a couple that way for the older 2005 version).

Also what version of Setpoint are you trying to install? If it is 6.0 try the previous 4.8 instead,

    1. Extract the file with WinRar "extract to here". 2. Run the executable. 3. Done.
