Sorry, new one coming in a few minutes.

Sigle version. It handles 32 or 64 bit . Can be run from XP upwards. (XP and vista users will be prompted to d/l pe from MS - only 175 mb ).

7 and newer shouldn't need that. Just a recommended d/l of about 8mb.

just to be sure, the tool you'll post a link to is the one you made during a thread about a systemrestoreproblem when upgrading from win8.0 to win8.1, on eightforums? the reason I need to restore is that I got a huge adwareinfection i just can't get rid off. So i'm considering to install win7 right now, and then use your tool to get win8.0 back when you post a new link. Is that possible or will I ruin something so that your tool doesn't work?

Yes, it should be possible. Depends if you have some kind of install media for 8.0. You probabaly have install.wim, or install.swm, or install.esd on your recovery partition.

You need something like this to use it. Say yes when it asks for optional 6mb downlaod. Then you will be able to use winntsetup to install 7/8/8.1 etc from any of those.

Good idea to install Partition guru pro on your running system first. Then it will be included in the winpe automatically. That is useful for acessing hidden partitions. The pro version works fine unregistered ( you don't need to buy it ). It is a combined data recovery and partition manager. The data recovery doesn't do anything unless you pay for it. You don't need that bit. The partition functions work great unregistered.

Ther is an extra .cmd file in this version, called GEEKS-ONLY.cmd.

Everybody else, just rt click and run as admin on the Run-Me-admin.cmd

You will end up with this: You might not have all of those programs , it will pick what you have already installed on you running system.

    Excellent script. Thanks for sharing.

Don't know why it skipped my Reflect. And when asked to include Paragon-free i clicked y but i have HD Manager not free - this made the script hang up. So just ran it again opting out of the Paragon.
Have no idea how to get it included.

What is the path to your paragon program?

    e.g. C:\Program Files\Paragon Software\Backup and Recovery 2014 Free

If you have the paid version of HDM , there is download from your account call "BOOT MEDIA BUILDER ". It is better to install that and include it in your winpe.

Did you use the new version 11 posted above? There was a problem picking up macrium with the previous v10, it should be fixed now.

    You're right.
Macrium is included with v11. I tried v 10 first, than v11 but seeing the same error with paragon i didn't burn the disc.
    for paragon :\Program Files\Paragon Software\Hard Disk Manager 14 Premium Edition\program\launcher.exe
    Thanks again.

    dear all,

great thread! everything is very helpful.

i'm trying to refresh my Asus laptop after a winspool.drv error. i'm following all the steps as discussed in this thread and another one before it. I ran into a problem. I got to the point when i burned a disc from the iso. and I also made a Usb.

the problem now is it doesnt seem to boot from the usb. and when i boot from the dvd, when i click refresh/reset. it just says the drive is locked/missing partition.

I'm reviewing the procedures now. But i don't know what else to do.did i miss a step?
