Ive ran sfc /scannow which didnt find any problems. Ive set DisableInbandScheduleLoading and GLID to 0 in registry. Ive reset Turn off Windows Customer Experience Improvement Program to not configured.

Thought I would let you know that the repair/upgrade installation applies to Windows 7 as well, I just tried it to see if I could get those disabled services back up and it all went smoothly and is now fully functional again, all programs and settings remained untouched aside for a registry tweak for the sidebar to work with UAC off.

Yes that suggestion worked. I had to reinstall a couple of apps and windows updates but no big deal. It could be an idea to do this once a year to stabilise your system.

Windows Error Reporting using lots of resources and bandwidth
Dispite turning WER in services and turning off the scheduler entry, wermgr.exe still loads lots of processes and clogs up the network. It seems to be mostly due to an error with WMC which dumps gigabytes of logs. So any ideas?
