    Problem with UAC

    Hi all,
I have a problem with a software who want do an update but I don't want for some reason.
This software not allows to break the update and each time who I open it it asks to do an update and UAC show a window to allow at this software to do some changement in the disk.
The problem is who I open this software about 10000 time each day by a batch file and I can't have 10000 windows open then:
somebody know the system to break this for a application?
somebody know some command in batch to close window's UAC rejecting the permission to do changement at the computer?

    Thanks

It depends greatly on how the program does the update. Most programs will have an option to disable automatic updates on its configuration screens, others rebel ones will try to update themselves no matter what. There are various options for dealing with those faulty programs.

The easiest is, if the program doesn't needs internet access is to place a block rule on the your firewall so it doesn't even has a chance to download unneeded updates (which has the advantage of not wasting bandwidth and disk space). This is the approach I like the more, if possible for you.

Another option would be to deny permissions on the file they download. Look at the UAC dialog when it appears. See the full path for the executable (you need to expand it to show). Go to that folder, and deny full control on your own user and it will no longer be able to run it.
